Flow of Time.

Here we are. At the mid-point of the holidays. It is surprising how fast time flies now and the same way time slows down in the exam season. It is all to familiar, isn't it?

Anyway, I am super bored. Cooped up at home, generally my own room, since I have nothing better to do. Facebook, MSN Messenger, Wolfteam and Deviantart are probably very active on my computer, after all that is where I spend most of my day round.

The new Alex Rider book is already out!! I chanced upon it while walking round Popular at Bukit Panjang Plaza. The title is 'Snakehead'. As usual Anthony Horowitz doesn't disappoint with Alex going through another dangerous mission involving 'Scorpia' again. ** Sorry about the Spoiler**

Finally, the chemistry revision is OVER!! That mean I got to start doing my Maths...DAMN!! I hate holiday homework. Oh well, might as well do it and get it over with. Next year is gonna be tough, and I don't think anyone will one to lag behind in the first week. So I got to start cracking soon.

Watch a show recommended to me by Kelleynne today, titled '鬥牛。要不要 / Dou Niu. Yao Bu Yao' or 'Bull fighting' in English. A taiwanese drama which features S.H.E's Hebe Tian(Yi Sheng Xue, 伊勝雪), Mike He(Shen Ruo He, 沈若赫) and Lee Wei(Jin Zi Cong, 金子聰). It is circled round basketball where two rival colleges, East Sun College and Lanti College of Physics, play an annual match for the 13th Street Basketball court. The 9-year champions, East Sun College, surprisingly loses the match due to several reasons including some cheating. And the story of love, sportsmanship and basketball enfolds.Although the first episode is a bit confusing and the fact that it is in Chinese, it is a pretty good show. But, it is only on its second episode. So we got to wait for the release...oh well, nothing is perfect.

Gonna miss Kelleynne as she goes to Melbourne for summer school. Good luck, have fun and relax, you can make new friends there even if you are only thinking about '鬥牛。要不要' and Mike He. =D Will look forward to your return in 3 weeks time.

Nothing more to say for now, so Ciaoz.

Crazy Holidays.

It is already the third week into the holidays!! Damn that is fast.

Anyway, I dyed my hair. Not any freakish, over-the-top, crazy colour. Just a simple "Caramel Ash". So anyway, I hope I don't have to dye it black when school reopens because it is just really a lighter tone of my natural hair. But if I have to, I will.

I went to go catch Enchanted. It is a great show if you like fairytale ending and thoughtful words. I think it is a rather back-to-the-basics show to remember your inner child. The simplicity of your views on life, even if I don't think a child would choose to be married the day after meeting his/her love for the first time. It is a sweet show, maybe it would be a good break from shows like Beowulf, The Seeker or Stardust. And speaking about Stardust, Kelleynne TOTALLY CHEATED!! She managed to watch the movie on the plane during her trip to Taiwan. And as for me, thanks to my indecisive aunt and cousins, Stardust is still on my TO WATCH list. Oh well, might as well get the DVD.

So far, I am worried about Odyssey of the Mind since my teammates seem rather reluctant in joining net year. And I can understand it is due to the 'O' levels. I am seriously considering it too. But given that we spend less time deliberating, and start working, things might get done a whole load faster. So it is quite a hassle.

Chemistry lessons in the holidays are turning out the be rather interesting. One da we went to Plaza Singapura with Jialin after she finished teaching us because we had nothing better to do and she wanted to lok for something at Daiso. Then another day, Jeremy, Ke Li and I followed Alex Lee and 3 other band people to Far East Plaza to have lunch before going to play Pool. But after lunch Alex led us to Far East Square, that shady place, only to find that the place has closed down. So we just went to hang round at Starbucks then left. Haha, I think it is turning into a habit to go out after having to go to school during the holidays.

FINALLY,
Props, to Andrew for that entertaining co-host with the Muttons on 98.7FM. Welcome back, to Kelleynne missed you even if it was for 4 days. Heart goes out, to Sarah who has lost her second guppy "Tuesday" after losing "Skipples". Congrats, to Mr S. Eio on his wedding to be held soon [Thanks for the invite too].

Lol~ I just wrote a composition without knowing it? maybe.
Gotta run now. Catch ya'll some other time.

Trinity Guildhall. Grade 6, Merit !!

Hey everyone!! The Trinity Guildhall Grade 6 exams are FINALLY over!!

After a gruelling 20 days worth of preparations for this examination, the day has finally come. And at least I can say that I performed my best in that room. 17 for play extract and 18 for poem!! Woo hoo!! And I got a Merit for it overall. *flies over the moon*

Oh well. That is generally the GREATEST news about this post.

Other events...I got sent to deliver a pack of med fries via taxi by my manager at work [ Fries + Apple Pie = no charge due to late delivery, Taxi fare = $9.90], I got called 'Uncle' and I stayed back till 8.30 pm with Tara on Monday just to do improvisations [generally cause my mind was blank]. Yep, that's all folks.

And thanks to Tara Fields [the best drama teacher], Karen, Mala, Rebecca, Mum, Dad, Ms Tan, Douglas, Santhiya, Kelleynne, Harsh, Kimberly, Jennie, Gomathi, Ai Zhen, [formation of the best drama class yet] Kenneth and all the other guys who gave me their best wishes for the exam. I guess it really did pull through. And I am sure I will have to congratulate the other teens who took Grade 5 today too.

Till next time. Cya.

Lights, Camera, FUN!

4 days till my Trinity exam, and still counting. So far, progress has been rather slow with the prose piece. And I still have to read "A day in the death of Joe Egg". I figure, I will probably work on those with high intensity tomorrow.

Wednesday thru-to Thursday was generally just staying at home and memorizing my exam pieces with the guide of Tara.

Today was a BLAST. Even though I did not get to hang out with my friends a lot. Kicked off the day with chemistry additional lessons in school with Ian, Jeremy, Ke Li and Ms Tan. We went through Acid, Bases and Salts. The whole lesson was super funny, Ke Li's horrible spelling, Al-Ke-Li (Alkali) and there are two categories of salts. Acidic and normal salts (not only table-salt). Then Mr Eio came back to teach them physic while I headed to Kenneth's house because he was chosen to be my audience for practice. When I got to his house it was generally chit-chat, talk rubbish and discuss about anything under the sun. Then I presented "The Highwayman" piece to him and the only word he caught was..."breast". Pervert. Anyway, after that I had lunch at his place and left for Orchard cause Joscelyn wanted to look for a job. Then I told her to meet at 2.45pm. It just so happened that I ran late due to the bus, and when I reach there she asked me, "How come you can get here so fast?" when I said I left at 2.45pm. Proves her speed. So we went to Paragon, and she didn't want to work there. Then we headed to Takashimaya, and she was also reluctant. So i brought her to her requested outlet, Sakae Sushi. She didn't dare go in and asked me to accompany her in. (Question to all: When a guy and a girl enters a restaurant, what is your first impression? No answers required) So OBVIOUSLY I declined. And then we went outside where I bought a Blizzard, and shared it with Duckie. Then after I finished my bit, I gave the cup to her. Within that 2 minutes, she had to clean off ice-cream that was dripped on her footwear like...an infinite number of times. So we went to sit at McDonald and then we just chit-chat as time passed. When it hit 5pm, I showed her to way to the MRT station and I headed off for class.

Tara was at the teacher's room, and I read through my pieces for revision before the mock exam. After a quick line run, we went off to the Assembly Hall. During the mock at 6pm, I was SHOCKED. As I listen to the pieces others had to share, I was totally blown away by their expressiveness in vocal tones. I felt like I was the weakest of the lot, yet my comments were positive except that I have to work on memorizing and facial expressions. It was fun doing the mock exam, but the pressure was still there. And doing my first solo improvisation since Term 1 was quite fun, perhaps a bit short. Still trying to add some creativity to Bri's movements in my play piece. So the mock exam ended with story telling which was rather humorous, entertaining and queer at some points. You name it.

And it was off to studio 5-7 for the Teen's club gathering. 3 teens club were there namely Mala's, Karen's and Tara's. It started off with an energizer game and a quick height alignment and age alignment game. Followed by a game where we got in pairs and introduced each other. After introductions were done, we all split into groups to play a mime game. And my group won. Followed by party quirks. Appearances were made by people like Mad-eye Moody, Mr Kiasu, Winnie the Pooh, Barney the Dinosaur, Little Miss Bo Peep and other characters. I played L from Death Note and it took quite a while for some people to figure out...in fact I think it might have been one of the hardest to figure out unless you have come across the movie or anime. Then the games went on with Alphabet improvs where we all make up an improvisation with sentences starting from corresponding alphabets. (e.g. "A bird!" the next line must start with "B', then "C' and so forth...). Then it went to performance time where the other two Teens club showed their performance. And Tara's Teens club did a spontaneous improv with me as "little black riding-hood". And the whole event ended with laughter and joy. Then I came home, rested a bit...ate my supper. Play a bit of computer.

And now I shall turn in. Goodnight.

Holiday horrors.

It is 7 days till my GRADE 6 Trinity Guildhall exams!!!! And I am in quite a mess. Hopefully my nerves don't get the better of my memories by that day.

The weekends were great, with nearly all my time focused on the Trinity Guildhall exams. It sure is fun being able to act in my room and not be considered a crackpot/nut-case by my parents for once. It only happens once every year.

Looks like my friends are looking for jobs. But Joscelyn keeps telling me to go work with her, and it was her fault for not responding to me when I asked her whether we were going for the job interveiw at esplanade. Oh well, I am planning to go see if Artfriend or Toy'R'Us will employ me. Macs was fun while it lasted. [And it didn't last very long.]

Heroes ROCKS!!!! No wonder everyone is crazy over that show. Though I am still not quite sure what is Mohinder Suresh's powers. Maybe he is the leader? Or does he just gather them to form a team or heroes like the justice league? But I am him according to that Facebook quiz. Haha.

One or two plans for a Julia Gabriels class outing or celebration might have come up. But those are currently nothing more than smoke and mist.

And finally, my movie list for this holiday so far is:
-The Seeker
-Stardust
-The Golden Compass
-The Game Plan[watched]
-The Bee Movie[watched]
-Enchanted
-Bratz
-Beowulf
-Lions for Lambs
-Saw IV[under serious and grim consideration(low chance)]
-The tattoist

Ciaoz, till next time.

Turn of the tides.

Yo all, this week is crazy so far with all the A math classes and other stuff happening round me. It feels as though my life is rushing past me.

I am having A math lessons on differentiation this week so I have been hectic with my schedules all round.Monday, I dropped by Kenneth's house since his mum didn't go fetch him so we just took a bus. Then we had lunch, played splinter cell and I left...which wrapped up the day.

Tuesday, I rushed home after school, got changed and then had to meet Joscelyn to teach her the Mole Concept for chemistry. But instead she was so lazy she just lazed round in starbucks and in the end nothing got done. And ended up near broke.

Wednesday, I went out with Wen Jie, Kenneth, Theopilius[or however you spell that name] and Joel Lim. We went to Vivo to watch Game Plan. First I was with Kenneth and we waited at the school cafeteria to wait for WJ, who arrived half an hour late after telling us to wait for an hour. So we headed to Vivo via MRT and met Theopilius at Carls Jr. Followed by Joel. It was funny as to how Joel didn't know how to get to Vivo from Harbourfront and thought that Vivo had a fourth floor. Wen Jie and I booked the tickets before Joel arrived, which was a good thing since we were only left with the front two rows. -.- So the movie was gonna start at 2.50 pm. Joel was pestering to get in at 2.50pm while we were playing Halo 3 at challenger. In the end I got everyone to stop playing at 3.10pm so we could go in. By the time we were seated, we went through one advertisement and the movie began. Then i began to gloat at Joel since he was so panicky. The Game Plan was a nice movie, especially since it had that stupid combination of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and a kid...It was a rather sentimental film but generally a comedy. I guess that is Disney for you. So after the movie ended, we headed to E-Zone to play a bit and I lost to Takumi in Initial D 4 on Akina downhill, doesn't surprise me since i was not VERY good to begin with...then we headed home.

Thrusday, with parents home and all i couldn't go out with my friend. So it was breakfast, then we came home and i watched Alien versus Predator with my brother. Then came on MSN a bit and we left for Vivo to watch The Bee Movie. We watched it in GV max. The movie was good, but the storyline is a bit vague since the message the movie ones to show might have been distracted since there seemed to be other point being made in-between which contradict the message. Winnie the Pooh got shot with a tranquilizer...Quite lame.

Anyway, I gotta go since I still have A math class tomorrow...cya'll.

Back from OBS. With a great performance.

Yo you all! I am back from OBS and it was...very wet and I smelled a bit funky.
Well OBS was fun and all with Kayaking and rock-climbing and hiking.

It kinda went this way:
-Day 1, We all arrived in school on that rainy day to gather at the sports hall. I swear, when i got there it was like a thermal meltdown. Outside was chilly and wet and cold, then with the entrance still locked and the sports hall closed, everyone was talking and the air was hot and damp. So we just chit-chat till we got the doors opened. Then we got into our 'watches' where we were grouped according to our CCA. Me, being the fun person I was, put Technopreneurship as my CCA since no one else would put it so that i get a random 'watch'. A miracle happened, I got into the 9th watch which was with the tennis, sailing and a few other people. My friends Nicholas Yue and Shaun Tay was in the watch and it was so fun. Then we all got sent off the Ponggol Jetty for the ferry to Pulau Ubin for OBS. When we got to Pulau Ubin, the people from St Hilda, who were going to be in our camp too were already there. So watch 9 was to be named 'Raffles'. Then came a short briefing by CJ, one of the cooler instructors. Then we all found out the 'Raffles' was the group he was going to facilitate. We were like, 'OMG! WTH! HIM?!' Then we all broke off to our little groups to do some admin. Then after the introduction and stuff, during the surrendering of possessions, I got transferred to another group. Knew it, miracles are short-lived. But I went anyway, I heard the reason was because the other guy who was being tranferred had dislocated his shoulder before and he could not do as much kayaking as my new group was going to be doing. Then i was introduced to Yen Leng whom we shall all refer to as Ah Boo since she requests. Then it was just a short round of photo taking, stock checking, and lunch. Then we carried the tents, helmets and harness to the high elements area. Then we stopped at this open patch mid-way to do the trust fall. It began to rain and we did the activity where everyone fell at least once. So fun, I kinda totally trusted everyone when I fell so it was quite fast. Then it was belaying. A short practise which went by really fast. Then dinner was cooked. I went to pitch the tent while dinner was cooking but then the dinner ended up with burnt rice and we had to eat it. I opened a can of tuna to go with the rice and it was quite okay since the rice lost most of the charred taste in the oil. Then it was a bath followed by packing for the next 3 days of our lives. And Gary turned out the lights on the St Hilda girls while they were bathing, or so I heard.Lights out by 11pm.

-Day 2, we were late to report for morning PT and only started at 7.15am. It was 5 BX and a short run. It was still a bit wet from the rain but we got by. Then we all changed into our wet attire since we were going to do kayaking. 'Battuta' had our buddy watch who was 'Armstrong' with all the ruggers in it. I was paired with Marcus P. for the little trip. Then we went to test the waters. After we got out of the water, there was a catagory 1 storm warning and we all got under shelter. After it cleared, we set off with the kayaks. We had to do capsize drills and then it was off to deeper water before we practice the T-X rescue drill. So we all got off to a rather nice start but I swear the sea is littered with all sorts of rubbish. About halfway there we practised the drill. Marcus and I capsized twice since it was fun. The second time Dao Bin saw a jellyfish and was yelling at us about it and Marcus was like looking around for it. I didn't see anything. so we all got done with the drill and left to finish out trip. After we hit shore, we all carried the kayaks to the beach side campsite which was surrounded by fences. Hiked to our campsite, set up tents and then Chin Whye and I decided that since the tent was set up our tent mates can go for dinner so we left the place and went to cook our instant noodles. I shared with Ian in one mess tin and he said it had sand in it, but no one really cared at that point. Then we went back to our tent and got changed to dry clothes individually. After that, Chin Whye followed the rest to get water while Ian and I just stayed in the tent and I fell asleep in a jiffy.

-Day 3, after the rain night, I woke up at 5.30am to see that it was raining and Chin Whye, Ian and Jonathan were in a rather good mood since our tent was the only one which did not get flooded. And Keng Seng's tent actually collapsed. The rest were sleeping in water. So we came out and changed, and unpitched our tent. Then we packed up and prepared for the hike. And it was still drizzling. So Ah Boo and 'Battuta' set out for the hike. After we reach the top of a hill which was the peak of Pulau Ubin, Ah Boo found out that we left our poncho bag behind and we hiked back the our campsite to get it. When we got there we were overloaded and i ended up with my bag, a gadget pole across my shoulders and 1 tent on each side of the gadget pole. Then we made a beeline from there to camp 2 followed by camp 1. Camp 2, our arrival campsite, was so different from camp 1. When we reached camp 1, the moment I put down my bag, I swear I felt like i could fly. So we set up tents in the path to a beach in camp 1 and then we had 3 hours of rock-climbing in the multi-purpose hall. Followed by a served dinner, only one in the entire camp. We had a nice dinner for once and then gathered at the MPH for a briefing for our sea expedition that was to go on the next day. So it was going to be a average 8-10 hours trip in all. And then we had chosen the sea expedition leaders from each 'watch' and I represented 'Battuta'. So while the rest were having supper, we had a sea ex leaders briefing. And then everyone came back and we briefed our own 'watch'. Then it was bath time followed by lights out. A preparation for the next day.

-Day 4, we all woke up early and unpiched our tents on time. Then we reported for a short session of PT. Then it was breakfast, followed by packing up the campsite and loading up the items onto the safety boats. Then we were preparing to set off. Before that, we had morning circle which was to give blessings for our voyage to sea. With everyone blessed, we set off. We started off with the practice channel crossing.then we headed to Ketam, turned back to camp 2 and did the real channel crossing. Then we hit the other side of the channel, this was followed by a continuous trip down the coastal area of Singapore. Then we did another channel crossing before hitting Pulau Seletar. By then we were running 2 hours late. The we had lunch on our kayaks. Then by 3 pm we headed off again. This time there was a catagory 1 warning so everyone rushed and we managed a record breaking speed to get back. With the last channel crossing we finally hit camp 2 shore.having seen the time, we were only 15 minutes behind the estimated time of arrival. Which also means we caught our 2 hours on the return trip and wash up. It was a good job, and we were asked to cheer. Instead we sung Lord prepare me. It was a huge laugh. Then we went for dinner and bathed. I cooked the eggs they gave and we ate till we were full. My tent was only pitched at 11pm. Then we all slept.[Not before a few games of Big 2]

-Day 5, we woke up late but it didn't matter since everything was done fast. And we skipped PT to do the jetty jump which was fun. Everyone made a commitment then jumped. There were jellyfishes in the water. But it was a quick event. Followed by the store clean up and check in stock were we lost $45.15 worth of stuff. Then we got together to get our certificates, wristband, pen and share our last words. Then it was off the the gift shop after we got our personal belongings back. Got myself 2 polo tees and 1 sleeveless tee. And then it was a short debrief then it was time to go back home! We took a ferry back to Singapore, went through the jetty customs and waited for the coach back to school. Then we went back to school where I joined Ke Li to wait for Nicholas to reach before we went to eat KFC at chinatown then I came home and life went back to normal.

That was how to entire 5 days of my life went.

Saturday, woke up at 9 am, had breakfast and then got home to sleep. I overslept and turned up for the performance JUST on time at 3.20pm where everyone was waiting for me. Then the performance went on. It was a blast. It did not feel scary to be on stage looking at the audience for once. And then we had class at 4pm. And Jean took us since Tara is not in Singapore. We spent the class time planning our masked performance and we made our storyline. Then we had a quick run-through. And class ended. The days are passing way too fast.

Too these few people: Kelleynne, Joscelyn, Sarah, Janel, Kenneth, Andrew and Frederick. Miss you guys at OBS. Felt so weird not talking to you all for 4 nights.

Anyway, I guess it is ciao for now. Gotta go work tomorrow, sure it will be fun. CYA!
