Valentines, Total Defence, Flagdays and a whole load of stress.
'Sup people. Valentines Day is just over, but love is still in the air. Especially at Picnic of Words. And Total Defense just passed too. And Flag day is done. Phew, that's one heck of a week.
14th February 2008. Valentine's Day. The blissful time for couples, the happy time for singles who get the chance and a depressing time for a few who can't get lucky. Well, here's a little story to perk up your day. Valentine's day is a GOVERNMENT SCAM. It is for the need to reproduce due to the aging population. Here are the reasons to back that up. Firstly, Valentine's day is a day for flames to rekindle with new strength. So chances of people getting intimate is higher and thus a there is a high chance that a baby will come along. Secondly, those who get the chance may be successful. Leading to future probabilities. Finally, the few who cannot get lucky or fail. May end up with depression and commit suicide. This is a good method of getting rid of the 'useless' ones. Anyway, it is also an economical scam with all the chocolates and flowers...but that is another story for another time. I hope you all out there have found your happiness, and for the older ones, your significant other. I am still looking. :)
15th February. Total Defense day. A rather normal day. Went to school, slacked a LOT. The classes were quite fun as the usual Fridays. Well, SS sure as hell was fun. Mr Tang didn't come. Actually I think I wouldn't mind if he was there. But we all messed around and stuff but still did some quiet stuff. And we had Andrew dancing at the side...that apart I kinda felt that the day went by rather by pretty fast. And I came home and needed a LOT of sleep. felt so deprived of it...
Today was FLAG DAY. Hates these kind of activities. But I woke up at 8.45am. Time the thing start is at 9am. Wow! I am damn early. Well, I freshened up and just strolled out of the house. took an MRT there and reached at 9.50am. Great, huh? 50 mins late. Well, I joined Nick Yue and Gerald to ask for money. I figured I should catch up. So it was spam fiesta. Being the pest I am, I pestered nearly everyone to donate. And surprisingly, the fiercer a person looks the more he/she donates. Seriously, I went up to this super intimidating lady, like one of those who looks like she's a old school headmistress. She donated all her lose change...that i was like...1 WHOLE handful. I took about half a minute just waiting for her to slot everything into the tin can. Then we just waited for church service after church service. Then there was this random girl from SJI international, who came to talk to Nick when we were just roaming about. And she was like...rushing to get every donation and talking about how people naturally approach girls cause they are less intimidating. MEH. At 10am it was SPREE!!! I actually caught up with all the others. Then after that rush hour crowd was over, we headed to opposite for chicken rice. And that girl, Elizabeth or somewhat, tagged along. Shaun kept emphasizing on ANNOYING. The others just...kept to ourselves. Then after the meal we all had to pay her our share cuz she had the biggest change to pay first. And our money was like...nearly all into her tin can. Rich, some people. I could do with some spare dough too.
After that I hanged round Novena with Kenneth and was discussing about YES-NEC with Kian Yang to see if he was interested. Then we left. I went to Orchard to wait for Jos, cause she wanted help on Chemistry, AGAIN. So troublesome. So I went to Borders to look around. I saw this cool book called: 'Hunter's guide to Vampires: Raphael Van Helsing' The illustrations and explanations looks quite middle-aged. But the book is for those "HARDCORE VAMPIRE FANS" who would act like a vampire if you just bare your canine tooth. I indulged myself in that book, cause it shows some really cool symbol of how vampires mark their hunting grounds. And I waited for Jos to call. Then we walked to Lucky Plaza for her lunch and walked to FORUM Galleria's 'Coffee Bean, Tea Leaf' to study. The coffee, no comments. But the environment there was conducive enough for a proper study session so we got cracking and started on Mole concept.
I guess I figured out how to actually help a person in understanding rather than just repeating the same crap. HA! I figured that out even without training. Eat that, ex-form teacher! Oh well, it was a proper session anyway. So we just practised on the mole concept, until Kelleynne smsed me to go up soon at 5pm. I just tried to wrap everything up in 30 mins and left.
When I got up there, everyone was preparing for Picnic of Words. So they rehearsed. And just before POW, we moved to another studio and Tara put me in-charge. Funny thing was, we just messed around and had fun. Then Rachel came up to me and asked me for permission to go to the loo. I was like: 'Hey, I am not a teacher. Go if you want, just inform someone.' The rest was just fooling around. POW was great fun. The final act was by the Tara Field teen's club! So fun! But I wasn't part of it... Oh well, I had my certificate presentation by Julia herself after that. And the performances closed with a song. The cert is of better quality then last year, but it was less interesting. Like it was rather plain compared to last year. I got to say it again, I GOT A MERIT!!! Woo Hoo...nothing great. -.-
Well, the rest of the day is just usual stuff, I hate it. Anyway, while love is still in the air, treasure it everyone. :)
Cya'll round soon. Stay cool.
