It's OVER!!!! Sort of anyway...
My Mid years are finally over! Gosh. It took forever.
Art paper was over today. 3 hours. and this time I felt that the 3 hours were highly productive. It was really great, I did the line art in 1 and 1/2 hours followed by my rendering with 9B graphite for the next hour or so. I finished the paper 15 mins beforehand and I am quite happy with the quality because of the time it took. I hope it is impressive enough, especially after the fact that my layout and style has been totally revamped. I find it more effective this way, but I am praying that the style is not too abstract that I lost the essence of the subject matter. My focus this time was a bit of cubism.I got inspired from a picture in a gallery located in Takashimaya, and it took me 1 hours before I figured out how to apply it to my piece. Too bad I didn't get a picture of that great piece. What a waste.
So, last you saw me I was moving through the exam period. It has been grueling. Paper after paper, slowly being mangled. Here is how it went:
-English = It went pretty darn well...sort of.
-Chinese = We all know what happens. (:
-Physics = Well, I finished the paper in 1/2 an hour. But I have no idea what they asked.
-Chemistry = It went smoothly, only a few tough nuts here or there. But I am confident.
-Literature = Didn't complete both papers. I think it is a mess.
-SS and SSH = No time to finish writing...I need the pass.
-Math = I am CONFIDENT! I did well from my perspective.
-A math = Paper 2 was shaky. Paper 1 I did 2 out of 12 qns. (: Great.
-Art = Gonna ACE it. Duh. -.-
It has been a rather refreshing experience and it inspires me to work harder for my O levels. No more messing around that much I guess. It was pretty demoralizing when the A math stats came in but I guess I will do better as long as I am willing to put in my effort. I WILL reap what I sow.
On Monday I went out with the duck after her last paper. She came over at 11am or something, cooked lunch for the both of us at my house while I tried with my dear life to tune her century old guitar. I think the strings are the problem. Well, anyway after lunch we decided to hit the streets. We headed to Orchard road. On the way there we saw a cat/kitten? sleeping under the highway where the pedestrians can use to cross the road instead of the overhead bridge which is a million miles away.

Then we took a bus to Lucky Plaza and walked to Takashimaya. Where I went to Art friends to get some art materials to prepare for my exam. Then while going down the escalator we saw Kenneth Mah and his friend going up. So we walked around Takashimaya. I went to get myself a box of Takoyaki...never had one of those since forever. After that we walked around some more and went to Mos Burger for a stop. And after my milkshake and hotdog we went to Bugis thanks to the wise suggestion of Jos. So I decided to go to Bras Basah instead of Bugis since we were at Bugis like...less then 2 weeks ago. And I went to Art friends at Bras Basah too and I bought more things. And Jos decided that this Piggie thingy was cute and wanted to take a pic with it.

The Pig is so innocent. I pity the little thing. So after that we left the place and we took a pic on the way down again.

This time she goes for the LOL look. It is really working out for her, ain't it? Anyway, after that I walked her to the bus stop at Suntec and I took a bus from the same bus stop...only to realise that I was going in the wrong direction. So I took 1 hour to get home...GREAT. JUST GREAT. But I manage to get some of my art stuff done up nicely anyway and I went to sleep at 1am.
Tuesday, Chinese Oral exam. I woke up at 11am. The paper was at 11.30am. GREAT! Again! I rushed to school in a cab and made it there in time for the paper. But i did not do too well for my paper and I made a fool out of myself. But oh well...it is chinese. Then I went to Marine Parade Library with Samuel to do the illustration for his competition piece. We just sat there for like...decades. I was worn out by 4pm but I still carried on after a short break anyway. I don't like Samuel's style of working. The drawings are too specific and it kills my creativity. There is freedom in design and stuff. But it is minimal. So I feel restrained around him when I have to draw. So we left at 6pm and I got home at 7pm with a horrible neck ache from falling asleep in the bus. Took my dinner and got cracking on my preparatory work for art. Slept at 1am.
Today! Art exam paper. Well, it went as how it went. After that I came home to rest and recuperate. Then I went to Vivo to meet Janel and Jos at 3pm. We were just messing around, trying to distress. And as usual, I was earlier. So I met them at Candy empire and we went for lunch at Food Junction where my order took a year to arrive. And after that we went up to the roof terrace where we just hung out and chilled for about 30 mins because it was wet and all. So after that we were walking around and we spent our time away looking at books in Pageone's Arts Section where the girls were going eww and all over figure drawings. Okay, no need to elaborate. So after that we just went to all the little hobby shops around and continued to wander. Then after a stop at Candy empire again, I walked them to the MRT station and I was off to meet my parents. Blah blah blah...all the little details. And that wraps it up.
It was fun and painful through this past few days. I have had my ups and down and I really appreciate those who were there for me all the way. Haha, I have been able to have a peace of mind and the calmness due to you guys. THANK YOU.
LOOKING FORWARD TO TERM 3 ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But O level Chinese awaits.
