Teacher's Day Celebrations.
Wassup!? Teacher's Day Celebrations today!! Woo Hoo!!!
Had a bad start to the day...was late for school. But who cares? Anyway, by the time I got there everyone was alrdy at the sports hall giving out prizes to teachers. I think this year is probably the most touching year for teacher's day where Mr Lawrence Mak was nearly in tears for S4-A2 of 2008 when all the different students gave him the gifts. They even got him a jersey. Haha, talk about class spirit. This love-hate relationship between Mr Mak and us is quite a funny thing since we nearly made him pop a blood vessel in class at S3-A2 last year. The he thought that it was going to horrendous in Sec 4 but we did one better, and did improve on our behaviour by a bit at the least to say. Haha, Mr Mak is like one of the coolest math teachers I have ever had. He is probably louder than Mr Leong my Pri 6 Math teacher who had a reputation of lifting lil' primary school kids by their collars and yelling at them in their faces. Despite that, I think I am on friendlier terms with Mr Mak because of his openess and love for our class. Even though he says he gave up hope and what not, deep down we all know he cares. Lol, there's an excerpt written by my fellow classmate to Mr Mak on teacher's day:
"Hey MR MAK: Firstly a very happy teachers day. From the bottom of my heart a big thank you for all the help these past two years... your help was as indefinable as like the
Geometrical Proofs ..... your jokes never failed to put a smile, like the
Cosine curve, on our faces. Yes at times you might have appeared to some to be inconsistent like the
Sine curve, having many
MAX points and MIN points, BUT to me your
Interquartile Range = 0 ... you were constant through out ... always great! If a
graph of the humour of teacher against their effectiveness was plotted, you will be at the
MAX point. You are the
Angle of Elevation for our distinctions. The
Probability of you not caring = 0. Your hard work is equivalent to the absolute valued function of a graph ... never on the negative side ... if we were to
Differentiate you, we will get your
Gradient function: Assuming that gradient functions = to a teacher who has the passion to teach ... we respect you ... after all the trouble and pain we put you through you never fail to come back stronger and continue to teach us ... I honestly thank you so much for all the hard work .... you were amazing and splendid!
Happy Teachers' Day! - Cumara"
How appropriate for a Math teacher who is probably ending his career in teaching Math for English since he is an original English teacher. (: So after the prize presentation, we headed off to Lido for the screening of "Money no Enough 2", my third time watching it. But it was cool with all the students and teachers. With all the class jokes like "Hwa Fen" the pollen supplement where Pereira and co. laughed at Pek. then the whole class joined in. After the movie we had a dialogue session with Jack Neo. He's a cool guy, Shaun says he sounds a bit like Mr Peh. So after all was said and done we all rushed off to Seoul Garden.
So Lucas, Nicholas, Ke Li, Ian, Jeremy, Benjamin, Shaun and I walked to Takashimaya to get our seats at Seoul Garden. So we got settled in early and everyone got to the seats.

The first few to get settled in, and Lucas is in the spotlight again. Haha.
So we had our long lunch. And everyone did all that crazy stuff again. Cook crap on the trays. Throw in Coke...that kind of stuff. And after our lunch, cuz we had time we decided to just walk round and look for Ke Li's new slippers cuz his broke yesterday. So our first stop was at Stadium.

Nicholas playing the guitar with the guitar in the bag. Haha.
[edit]
Some Giant Crocs outside the store.

Size comparision, I'm a size 11 by the way. LOL
The we walked to Artfriends for a bit to get the clay Lucas needed for his new baby cousin's first footprint. Cute idea...lol. This continued to Heeren where we saw the stores selling Ed Hardy products, Reef, 77th Street and finally Everlast. Where Ke Li got his slippers and Lucas bought Nicholas a Billabong wallet from 77th Street.
So after that Shaun, Ke Li and I headed and walked to Plaza Singapura cuz Shaun and I were to meet Julia. So Shaun and I went to Mos Burger to hang out while waiting for Julia. Then we took a bus to Bukit Panjang for cellgroup at Eunice's house where it was held in the function room. Then we had decorations, games and praise & worship and I had to head off. Sad but true. Got home and rested.
I missed someone.Well, that's a wrap on my day. And still Happy Teacher's Day. Still got a few teacher's I have not personally thanked yet. Will do soon.
Finally found time to talk to a close friend of mine. I have felt recently that maybe because of my schedule, we have not been communicating as often. So the relationship weakened a bit. But I prayed about it and thank God that he answered my prayer and I did not lose the frined even through this period of time. Woohoo, prayer does move things in our lives. (:
God's plans are to prosper us, never to fail us. :]
